Ride A Pet Mutations
Mutation multipliers and storm behaviour below were read from the community Fandom wiki's Mutations page and confirmed against two independent video guides covering the same mechanics.

Mutation multipliers
| Mutation | Speed multiplier | Tier | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shocked | x2 Speed | C | community-verified |
| Volted | x3 Speed | B | community-verified |
| Rage | x4 Speed | B | community-verified |
| Void | x10 Speed | A | community |
| Eternal | x100 Speed | S | community-verified |
A mutation multiplies the speed of the pet it is applied to. The community table documents speed multipliers; it does not document an income multiplier for mutations. Which pet is worth parking on the ranch is a decision table in the mutations guide.
Stacking and upgrading rules
If a pet carrying a mutation is struck by a higher-tier mutation, the weaker one is replaced automatically. Lower-tier mutations can never downgrade a better one.
- One at a time. A pet cannot hold two mutations simultaneously.
- Upgrades only. A better mutation replaces a weaker one automatically; a weaker one can never overwrite a better one.
- Permanent on that pet. There is no way to move a mutation to another pet, which is why the pet you park matters.
What an Eternal mutation does to real pets
Every value below is an actual documented base speed multiplied by 100x.
| Pet | Base speed | With Eternal (x100 Speed) |
|---|---|---|
| Kitsune | 1B | 100,000,000,000 |
| Dragon | 300M | 30,000,000,000 |
| Cerberus | 100M | 10,000,000,000 |
| Phoenix | 1M | 100,000,000 |
| TRex | 266K | 26,600,000 |

Which pet to mutate
Because mutations are permanent and random, the pet you park on the ranch is the real decision. Mutating a starter gives you a fast starter; mutating something from Fox upward gives you a pet that competes with the endgame. Community guides are consistent on the rule: do not spend mutation resources on a pet you are about to replace. Compare candidates on the pet database or the tier list.
Ride A Pet mutations FAQ
How do you get mutations in Ride A Pet?
Mutations are applied at random while a mutation storm is active somewhere in the world. Keep your pet placed at the Mutation Ranch in the Overworld so it is eligible, and stay online during storms.
Do Ride A Pet mutations stack?
No. A pet can only hold one mutation at a time. If a stronger mutation hits a pet that already has a weaker one, the weaker is replaced — the tier can only go up, never down.
What is the best mutation in Ride A Pet?
Eternal at x100 Speed is the strongest documented mutation, followed by Void at x10, Rage at x4, Volted at x3 and Shocked at x2.
Do mutations multiply income too?
The documented effect is a movement-speed multiplier on the pet you ride. The community wiki's table lists speed multipliers; it does not document an income multiplier for mutations.
