Ride A Pet Upgrade Order: What to Buy First

1. The four things money buys

Speed pets — indirectly, through more egg attempts. You cannot buy a pet, but you can buy the radar and the speed that let you reach better eggs.

Radars — $50 to $30M, one per rarity band, permanent and non-toggleable.

Food — $10 to $30M, the only way to level pets, and higher-level pets provide better stats.

Rebirth — $1M to $15.6Qa at the documented levels, which costs you your Coins but grants permanent multipliers and slots.

2. First: shore up speed, not income

Early on, speed is the binding constraint. If you cannot reach a spawn inside the roughly 20-second window, no amount of income helps — you are not taking the attempts.

The cheap milestones are close together: Turtle 1 in 5 (50 speed), Sloth 1 in 20 (90), Axolotl 1 in 30 (165), Capybara 1 in 100 (407), Chicken 1 in 150 (553). Getting to Chicken costs nothing but a few minutes of hatching.

Once you can cross the map, the constraint flips to income and stays there for a long time. That is when the next purchase matters.

3. Second: one radar, matching your current band

A radar highlights one egg rarity band. The correct purchase is always the band you are currently farming, not the band you want to farm eventually.

Advanced $50 (Rare) belongs at the start. Jewel $3,000 (Epic) follows. Royal $20,000 (Legendary), Magic $300,000 (Mythic), Angelic $7M (Divine) and Eternal $30M (Ethereal) come much later and only when your pet tier justifies them.

4. The one purchase you cannot undo

Radars cannot be toggled off once bought. There is no refund and no switch. Buying the Eternal Radar before you can reach or use Ethereal eggs leaves you permanently filtering the screen for eggs you cannot get.

That makes the radar the only genuinely irreversible decision in the shop — everything else is a matter of money. Treat radar purchases as one-way doors and err one band behind rather than one band ahead.

5. Third: food, by XP per coin

Compare XP per coin, not XP: Grass 500 XP for $10 is 50 XP per coin, Bone 10,000 XP for $1,500 is 6.7, Magic Apple 300,000 XP for $7M is 0.04 and Dragonfruit 1,000,000 XP for $30M is 0.03.

Grass is roughly 1,600 times better value per coin than Dragonfruit. Buy Grass until clicking it is genuinely slower than your income, then step up one tier. The premium foods trade money for time, and that trade only makes sense once money has stopped being the constraint.

Meat is priced at $30,000 with no published XP value, so it cannot be ranked and we do not guess it.

6. Fourth: bank for the rebirth, then repeat

Once the speed pet is adequate, the radar matches your band and food is covered, surplus Coins have one destination: the next rebirth, which grants +1x Money Multiplier and +1 Pet Slot permanently.

The stopping condition for buying is the useful test here. If a purchase does not unlock eggs you cannot currently reach, or pets you cannot currently level, it is not an upgrade — it is decoration. Bank it instead.
